3D: Our Christian Marketing Process

We’ve developed a three phase process to help create successful Christian marketing strategies. Phase one is to Discover the needs and opportunities. Phase two is to Design the solutions and strategies to achieve the desired results.  Phase three is to deploy these strategies.  We call it 3D.

Not every inquiry will result in a client. But every inquiry has a calling from God.

It is always our desire that our business relationships be of the LORD’s will.  One of our most treasured verses is found in James 4.

13 Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. 15 What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” 16 Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil.

Phase 1: Discover

We creative effective Christian marketing strategies through in depth questions and independent research of your website and social media platforms, and your audience's motivations.

Our goal is to develop the right strategy for your needs.  There are two really important elements toward getting to know your needs and your opportunities: interview and discovery.  It is always our goal to “ID” the right strategy for your church, mission or business. We then follow this up with a detailed free proposal quote.

The Interview

Each strategy starts with an interview.  During this question-heavy session our goal is to get a better understanding of your calling, and your basic needs and wants. We want to hear about your mission and the impact that you seek to make. We ask the LORD to bless your efforts.

The Discovery

Once we’ve met with you, we begin to conduct independent research (discovery). During this time we uncover additional opportunities or needs; many of which you may not be aware of. We also explore opportunities to make the biggest impact.

The Proposal

We then present a detailed quote or proposal that solves the problems we discussed, as well as those that we found through our research.  Our goal is to provide you with options to choose from.  Typically our clients will schedule a 45-minute proposal review call.

This entire process is free of charge.

We work on a “Lord willing” basis.

Once we’ve extended our proposal we don’t follow up, pressure or apply any sales tactics.  If we are meant to work with you then we’ll find out.

When we do hear back from you, and when the indication that it is time to move forward we’ll issue a contract to formalize the terms of service.  This is an “at-will” relationship.

 

What can I expect in this phase?

1. An interview with a representative from Fearless Influence

2. A customized quote or proposal

3. An “at-will contract,” with the terms of service and the ability for you to exit from the services without an annual obligation or penalty (services are pro-rated to reflect only the work that has actually been done).

Phase 2: Design

We create Christian marketing strategies that align to each phase of the consumer journey, so that we can connect your audience to your platforms.

Having a comprehensive strategy is super important!  Whether it’s your goal to generate awareness from people who were previously unaware of your church, mission or business, gain deeper consideration from those who already know about you, or to create moments of consumer buying (conversions), we’re confident that we can provide you with effective Christian Marketing strategies that align to your mission!

Create

One of our first steps is to set up your project plan. During this phase, we walk you through the possibilities of each platform or asset and begin to identify the potential impact of these platforms on reaching your stated goals.

You can expect a review of proposed assets, strategy calls, requests for platform access to your social media channels and/or website, and invitations into our systems. As this happens you’ll find clear prioritization and next steps.

Our recommendations are typically broken down into Upfront work (often the highest priority work or defined project work), or Monthly support.

Align

We love to get feedback and to make adjustments.  As we create solutions we’ll need to adjust designs, themes, and strategies to ensure alignment. 

During this phase, we’re reviewing the creative assets, platforms, and other designs.  We’re discussing the frequency of posting, messaging, and copy and we’re planning social media calendars.

Decide

This is an exciting phase.  We’ve decided to plant! It is where we start seeing the seeds planted. This is where we start to take action and pray for an abundant harvest!

During this phase, your campaigns are scheduled for launch, your assets start getting into the marketplace, and we can start to track initial performance. You’ll also start seeing notifications and can visualize workflows in our project management system.

What can I expect in this phase?

1. An onboarding call or recorded video walkthrough with a member or members of your servicing team.

2. A walkthrough of our project management system, assets, and designs, and a review of deadlines, priorities, and benchmarks.

3. Example reporting, or a customized report aligning your digital and social marketing metrics to the consumer journey.

Phase 3: Deploy

We create Christian marketing strategies that are scalable with repeatable results.

It’s time to start getting some results! Don’t be surprised if some things are slow-moving out of the gate. It can take some time to create awareness, especially for new channels and new websites. 

Test

As we launch social media campaigns, blogs, a new channel or new website we start by observing the reach and engagement of each asset.  Can we see that people are finding you? Can we observe that there is a minimum level of engagement? We also take this opportunity to listen to any user feedback that we receive.  It is important to separate the wheat from the chaff when doing this.  We are focused on our target market.  You’ll likely get feedback from those who are perishing and who think of the Gospel as foolish.  That’s between them and God.  We’re focused on the followers of the Way. 

This is also an opportunity for us to review our expectations. 

Scale

One of the early observations that we’ll want to make is to identify any gains that are being made.  Next, we’ll determine what is scalable, and finally, what is repeatable. 

Adjust

As things scale we’ll be making some important decisions.  Can we affirm that the strategy we are using is making a difference? Do we need to reject this strategy, or spend more time observing (remain patient), or is the ground bad soil? Do we need to seek new ground?

To communicate this we’ll provide you with metrics and explanations of how they align with consumer behaviors.

1. Active project plans, team communication, and monthly reporting

2. The option to have ongoing strategy calls, consultation, and/or training.

3. Recommendations on improvements (if necessary).
