About The Project
Pastor Jim Halstead helps make disciples who make disciples. The ministry provides churches with practical tools that will encourage members to Delight in God, Declare the Gospel and Make Disciples.
Pastor Jim hired us to increase the reach and engagement of his website, and his YouTube channel.
The Strategy
The first step in the strategy was to conduct a through analysis of the existing content, user experiences and the opportunities for the ministry. We outlined a content gap analysis and used the Jobs-to-be-done theory to create a user-centric strategy.
With our JTBD analysis complete we mapped a strategy to rewrite high-volume content, and a blog strategy to add new high priority content to the page.
Visual design elements such as a new blog experience and the integration of his "Coffee Devos," as exclusive blog content were implemented to help bridge the gaps we identfied.
The Results
Months after the initial implementation we continue to see improvements. After three consecutive months of growth we were amazed to see an explosive 181.5% increase in the number of organic search impressions on Google's SERP. That same month we also saw a 147% increase in the number of views on YouTube.
